Early Break

13-19 year olds (up to 25 if you have a special educational need and/or are a careleaver)

Early Break offers accurate, unbiased information on all aspects of drug and alcohol use and also a counselling, support and treatment service to anyone who feels that they have an issue, question or problem related to drug or alcohol use.

In Oldham, Early Break work with HCRG Care Group and The Proud Trust to offer a combined sexual health/substance misuse service

Turning Point

18+ years old

For anyone who is affected by drugs or alcohol and wants support to make a change.

Turning Point provides an integrated drug and alcohol service across the boroughs of Rochdale and Oldham.  They offer a medically assisted recovery programme with support to help deal with addiction issues and access to detoxification and rehabilitation programmes.

Physio

PhysioDirect

PhysioDirect is a new self-referral system to access some physio services within the Northern Care Alliance. It allows patients to access Physiotherapy services quickly and easily without having to see a GP first.

Who can self-refer?

You must be 16 years of age or over and have a musculoskeletal problem such as back pain, neck pain, a painful joint, and/or general soft tissues sprains and strains. This includes sports injuries, work related injuries and postural problems. Please note self-referral is for pain or symptoms affecting one area of your body only.

Smoking Cessation

We deliver a range of services tailored to suit everyone, including:

  • Flexible times and venues
  • Easy access to stop smoking medication,
  • Nicotine replacement therapy
  • 1 to 1 appointment sessions
  • Drop in sessions (no appointment needed)
  • Telephone support

We don’t have waiting lists and we work into the evening. Weekly support will help you to understand why you smoke, manage your cravings properly, and plan to prevent any possible relapse situations

Sexual Health

Sexual Health Oldham

We provide free and confidential sexual health services in Oldham including information and advice on all types of contraception and STI testing and treatment. Our service is confidential, non-judgmental and for people of all ages, genders and orientations.

Everyone is welcome and you don’t need to see a GP first. You can book an appointment online 24/7 or speak to us on 0300 303 8565. Our phone line is available Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Muli-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Referrals

Please use this form to report concerns about the welfare or well-being of a child, young person or to request Early Help Services.

Please DO NOT use this form to report safeguarding concerns about adults at risk, or to seek support from adult social care. Instead please complete the adult referral form or contact the Adult MASH Team on 0161 770 7777, option 2.

Urgent concerns can be made by telephoning the police or the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team:

Mental Health Support

Healthy Minds

Healthy Minds is for people over the age of 16 years, who are registered with a GP in Oldham.

We offer support and treatment if you’re experiencing low mood, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, and sleep difficulties.

We can help you deal with the effects of a long-term health condition, chronic pain, or post natal depression, We also offer couples therapy if you are struggling in your relationships, and psychosexual therapy for any intimacy difficulties.

Podiatry

Podiatry

The podiatry service provides a range of podiatric assessments and treatments for problems with the foot and lower limb.

These include:

  • nail and skin pathologies (this is strictly based on medical need)
  • vascular and neurological assessment, a children’s clinic
  • musculoskeletal assessment and treatment
  • drop in clinic for urgent foot problems (for existing podiatry patients only),
  • drop in clinics for all Failsworth and Royton registered patients
  • advice regarding footcare/footwear/self management
  • woundcare management – with specialist input also from our High Risk Foot Team
  • provision of training to nursing home staff and carers
  • nail surgery

Maternity

NCA is an NHS service providing a single point of access for all maternity referrals in the Rochdale Oldham. The aim is to make sure you have access to the right care from day one. NCA will triage your referral based on the information you provide and the hospital will contact you to start your antenatal care. In the meantime if you are worried about your pregnancy, please tell your GP straight away.
