E Consult User Guide

We are now using an online service called eConsult. It can be accessed via our website on your computer, mobile or tablet device between 7am and 10am Monday to Friday. This will allow you to get help or advice from your GP online. This means no more time wasted queuing on the phone or sitting in the waiting area for your appointment. A clinician will then review you submission and you will receive a response as soon as possible.

Watch this video for more information about how eConsult works:

How do I use eConsult and what happens after I submit the form?

  1. You will have the option to get general advice, help for a specific condition or administrative request.
  2. Once a condition is chosen, you can access self-help information, access local services and pharmacy advice, or get advice from your GP at the surgery.
  3. If selecting ‘treatment and advice from my GP’ you will be directed to complete an online form about your symptoms.  You will need to confirm that you do not have any symptoms that require immediate or urgent care. Please answer questions as accurately as you can so we can find the best way to help you.
  4. You will then complete the eConsult online form and provide your phone number and email address at the end.

Following this you will be emailed a confirmation of the consultation and the practice will respond to you within 48hrs. We may be able to deal with the issue immediately, or we may book a telephone, video or face-to-face consultation.
