Ordering of your Repeat Medication

Please allow 48 hours excluding weekends and bank holidays. You can request your repeat prescriptions in a number of different ways. The practice has a repeat prescribing policy in place (a copy of the policy is available on request). It is important that you have regular medication reviews in order to ensure you are on the correct treatment, these checks are usually annually unless specified by the GP. You can request an appointment with the practice pharmacists for a medication review.

How to order your medication:

1. Tick the items you require on your repeat prescriptions slip and post into the box on the front reception desk.

2. You may post your slip to us.

3. Housebound or palliative care patients orders will be taken over the telephone by the reception staff.

4. Online access a list of your repeat medication and request a repeat prescription via our online portal - Patient Access. If you have an account please click on the button below. If you do not have an account but would like one please read more here. If you are unsure please call into the practice and the receptionists will assist you in the process.

Electronic Prescribing (EPS):

If you collect your repeat prescriptions from the surgery you do not have to visit the practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead your GP will send it electronically to the place you choose, saving you time. The service may not be suitable if you dont have a stable condition or you pick up your medication from different places.

You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near where you live, work or shop. You may not have to wait as long in the pharmacy as there will be time for your repeat prescriptions to be ready before you arrive.

How to use EPS:

You need to choose a place for your GP practice to electronically send your prescription to. This is called a nomination authorisation and will be required from each patient. A consent form can be otained at the GP surgery. Can I change my nomination or cancel it and get a paper prescription? Yes you can. If you dont want your prescription to be sent electronically tell your GP. If you want to cancel or change your nominated pharmacy speak to the pharmacists appliance contractor or your Gp practice. Tell them before your next prescription is due or your prescription will be sent to the wrong place.
